King of Spain’s visit to Darat Safeya Binzagr
During the visit of King Juan Carlos of Spain to Saudi Arabia, his Majesty visited Darat Safia Binzagr to attend the exhibition of the Traditional Costumes which was opened at 26 may 2008.
Also attending was his Excellency Minister of culture and information Dr. Eyad Madany, the Deputy Minister of the ministry of international culture affairs Dr.abo Baker Bagader, also Sheik Mohammad Binzagr and Mr. Hesham Al Ayesh.
By the end of the visit Miss Safya offered her books and one of her porcelain plates showing the Zaboon painting as a gift to the king.
Before he left the Dara he signed the guest book and wrote in it his appreciation of all the work he saw.
Islamic Arts Workshop
In 2006 and 2007 , Darat Safeya binzagr hosted an Islamic Arts Workshop in collaboration with Effat College and The Prince's School of Traditional Arts - London.
